Tan Poker 1.3

Tấn is a well-known poker game that has gained popularity in Vietnam. The term "Tấn" translates to "attack" in English, aptly reflecting the game's competitive nature.

This card game accommodates a group of 2 to 4 players, who engage in alternating attacks and defenses with the objective of depleting their hands to win.

Gameplay Overview:

• At the beginning of each game set, a suit is randomly designated as the royal suit, while the remaining suits are considered normal.
• The strength of the cards within a suit ascends from 2 to Ace.
• A royal card surpasses all normal cards in strength, regardless of its rank.
• Normal cards from different suits cannot be compared, meaning none holds superiority over the others.

A game set consists of multiple rounds, starting with each player being dealt 8 cards at random. If any player's hand contains fewer than 8 cards after a round, they will receive additional cards from the remaining deck.

Roles within a Round:

• 1 Attacker (A)
• 1 Defender (D), situated to the right of A
• Up to 2 Sub Attackers (t1, t2), located to the right of D

In each round, T, t1, and t2 take turns attacking D, who must respond by defending against their onslaughts.

Attack Rules:

• The number of attacking cards must not exceed the number in D's hand.
• The first attack must consist of cards of the same rank when no cards are present on the table.
• Subsequent attacks must match the rank of the cards already laid out on the table.
• If an attacker finds no suitable card to play or chooses to forfeit their turn, the attacking right passes to the next player.
• If the last attacker decides not to continue, D acquires the right to initiate a new round, with themselves becoming A.
• If an attacker successfully uses all their cards in attacks, that player wins.

Defense Rules:

• The defender should employ stronger cards for successful defense.
• If unable to defend or opting for a strategic surrender (for example, to retain higher-value cards), the defender must take all cards currently on the table.
• If their hand totals 17 or more cards (more than twice 8), they lose the round.
• If a defender exhausts their hand successfully while defending, that player wins.

Scoring System:

• 1st Place: 4 points
• 2nd Place: 2 points
• 3rd Place: 1 point
• 4th Place: 0 points

The player achieving 1st Place maintains the privilege of being the primary attacker (A) in the subsequent game set.

Please note: The description provided outlines my modified version of Tấn for mobile compatibility. The traditional version does not impose any limits on holding cards and utilizes Jokers as the most powerful defensive cards (not used for attacking). Additionally, in conventional play, the player ranking last must offer their strongest royal card to the first-ranked player at the start of each new set; in turn, this player returns any card as compensation.
